The Stonybrook community (and neighbors, friends, and families) are invited to take a trip to the Ohio River to visit the historic Blennerhassett mansion, located on an island near Parkersburg, West Virginia. The Palladian style mansion resembles George Washington’s Mount Vernon. The mansion was visited by Aaron Burr in 1805. We will travel aboard a deluxe motor coach to the Blennerhassett Museum to see some of the historic relics of the Ohio Valley’s past. Then it is a stern-wheeler ride to the island where we will enjoy a box lunch, have a narrated horse-drawn wagon ride and tour the 200 year-old mansion. It is an all-inclusive tour with the cost being $100 per person. The date of the trip is Saturday, May 13. We leave the church parking lot at 8:30 AM and return at 5:30 PM. Please indicate your interest in attending by signing up on the Connection Card. You can also sign up online by clicking here. We need at least 35 souls to commit to the trip by April 10.
